Lauren + Andrew's Wedding
Lauren and Andrew were married at one of my top favorite wedding venues at the Jersey Shore, The Channel Club in Monmouth Beach. Lauren found Thinking Paper through Exquisite Bride Magazine at a Bridal Show in 2016. By the end of November 2017 she reached out via text to discuss ideas for her wedding invitations and day of stationery. She was getting married in June 2018 and already knew exactly what she wanted and texted a photo to better guide me with her vision.
Our next step was a phone call to go over the details of her wedding day so we could narrow down which information to include on/with the wedding invitation ensemble. We talked about her planning experience so far and confirmed the invitation colors and styling mentioned in our text convo.
Following our chat I mailed Lauren paper swatches of printed cardstocks so she could see and touch the different textures, as well as colored stocks for the luxe border layering of the wedding invitation. Lauren confirmed her paper picks, I sent pricing and after the holiday madness passed, end of January we started the design process. Lauren had her wedding invitations in hands by mid February ready to mail to her guests as hoped in March.
While Lauren awaited the rsvps to roll in, she and I kept in touch via text brainstorming ideas for the day of event stationery. By mid-late May the design process for Table Cards, Menu Cards, and Seating Cards were underway.
Lauren's wedding fashion taste is beyond stunning! And I LOVE the navy, its rare to see the groom and groomsmen in anything other than black tuxedos.
Ohhh the anticipation!
The wedding invitation comes to life, Lauren + Andrew finally get to say I DO.
Details. Details. Details.
I've always picked up on creative personal touches at weddings and events. To me, these details separate one event from another and leave a lasting impression on guests. I just love the cozy feeling of Lauren and Andy's wedding decor here- taking advantage of the shelving at The Channel Club venue to highlight their special celebration of love, and tastefully acknowledging those who've past but are there in spirit.
Lauren and Andy's day of stationery; Seating Cards, Menu Cards, and Table Cards were designed to match their wedding invitation. Color, fonts, and type treatments the same creating a consistent vision flow throughout their paper items.
Photo and edible wedding favors are a top pick for many couples to send their guests home with. Lauren and Andy's candy bar looks simply delish, I love the mini ice cream cones and the cake shot of the newlyweds below.
Talk about those extra special touches. How about live entertainment?? I am positive Lauren and Andy's wedding guests are still raving about the performance of the Hawaiian dancers from Tino's Hawaiian Entertainment.
Little shoutout to a vendor Thinking Paper goes wayyy back with, Mr. Chris Atwood of Absolute Celebrations. Chris's personality, energy, and craft for what he does is awesome. I was so happy to see this shot of him at their wedding. Highly recommend!
Looking through Lauren and Andy's photo gallery, it was clear to see how much love they share for one other, and how these two had an absolute blast on their wedding day.
As I’ve said in a previous blog post, my role as a stationery designer and vendor for couples is bittersweet. Some weddings I work on happen very quickly and others almost a year out. In that time many conversations have been exchanged with my couples, and with them I too have played up that grand vision in my head so clearly of how everything will look. It always touches my heart when the newlyweds remember to send a recap.
